Zoom Class: Painting Clouds

If you’ve ever picked out shapes in the clouds as they drifted by, this class is for you.

Clouds are the ultimate teacher. They strip away the “noise” and force us to focus on the core of great painting: value, light, and composition. This short, 3-session class is designed to be a low-pressure way to sharpen your eye. Because of the shorter format, it’s also the perfect opportunity to give weekly Zoom classes a try.

What We’ll Focus On:

• Form: Capturing the unique volume of clouds, and applying our perspective skills to their unique shapes

• Color and light: Study the unique color and value of light and shadow within the clouds

• Brushwork: Using your tools to create atmosphere and depth
