Spend five days painting in the luminous hills of the Berkshires and leave with clearer purpose, stronger compositions, and a more confident painter’s hand. Through focused morning and afternoon plein-air sessions, lunchtime demos, and targeted critiques, you’ll master expressive color, decisive composition, and authentic brushwork—across oils, watercolor, pastel, gouache, or acrylic—and finish the week with a clear plan to develop your personal voice.
Easily reached from New York and Boston, the Berkshires offer varied landscape options—from quiet river valleys to sweeping hilltop views—ideal for plein‑air study and focused painting sessions.

- Who is this for?
- All skill levels and mediums are welcome.
- Maximum 14 students per workshop; class sizes are kept small to allow for individual guidance and group discussion.
- Location
- Centered in the beautiful Berkshires in western Massachusetts (Stockbridge, Lee, Dalton area).
- We will paint in a number of locations so transportation (perhaps car pooling with other participants) will be required.
- What does a workshop day look like?
- Time: 9-4 each day
- Each day will include morning and afternoon painting and lunch-time discussions and demos.
- Bring your favorite painting gear. A supply list will be sent out to registrants.
- How much does it cost?
- $775. This covers all painting instruction. Lodging, meals, and supplies are the responsibility of the student.
Refunds available up to 60 days prior to start, less a $50 administration fee.
